The Anesthesia Technician II is responsible for the preparation and calibration of anesthesia devices and materials essential for surgical operations or medical procedures. Compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations, as well as internal policies and procedures, is essential to ensure patient safety and privacy, thereby facilitating optimal care delivery.


Job Responsibilities:

EDUCATION:
Completion of an accredited Anesthesia Technician Program.
CERTIFICATION:
BLS - Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers.

EXPERIENCE:
A minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in a similar role.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Comprehensive understanding of anesthesia-related instruments, processes, and equipment.
- Ability to interpret diverse data and instructions presented in various formats.
- Fundamental knowledge of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.

- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively while adhering to established protocols and scientific methods.

- Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Responsible for the maintenance of all anesthesia apparatus, including ventilators, intubation scopes, laryngoscopes, and physiological monitors.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a team, managing multiple tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Skilled in identifying, assessing, and resolving standard issues by selecting appropriate solutions from established options.
- Fosters collaborative relationships with colleagues and other healthcare professionals to meet departmental and organizational goals.

- Integrates educational background, technical skills, and patient interaction abilities to gain trust and cooperation from patients, their families, and other healthcare team members.
