Anesthesia Equipment Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As an Anesthesia Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Anesthesia department. Your primary responsibilities will include assembling and preparing anesthesia equipment, setting up invasive monitoring equipment, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities:- Assemble and prepare anesthesia equipment for procedures
- Set up invasive monitoring equipment, including Swan-Ganz catheters and arterial lines
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including disinfecting and sterilizing equipment
- Coordinate with the perioperative team to ensure efficient OR turnover times
- Assist with patient transport and preparation for procedures
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on anesthesia equipment
- Restock and replenish anesthesia supplies as needed
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Basic Life Support certification within 1 month of hire
- Current understanding of anesthesia equipment operations and department procedures
- Demonstrated ability to perform duties and responsibilities required of an Anesthesia Technician
- Certification by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians as a Certified Anesthesia Technician
- Certificate of training for Drager Anesthesia System, PPS Saracap, or equivalent biomedical course
This is an on-call position, with varying days and hours. Qualified applicants with arrest and/or conviction records will be considered for employment in a manner consistent with Federal, state, and local laws.
