Electrical Consultants, Inc. (ECI) is a leading consultancy in the power engineering sector, providing comprehensive services in engineering, system planning, technical consultation, project management, surveying, environmental planning, commissioning/testing, and construction for electric utilities, energy developers, and industrial clients throughout the United States. Our expertise encompasses system voltages from 4.16 kV to 765 kV.
We are currently seeking a Protection Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be tasked with delivering power system protection services, which include developing system models, conducting short circuit analyses, creating relay settings, performing area coordination studies, developing standards, analyzing relay operations, and reviewing technical drawings and relay settings. Furthermore, the selected individual will mentor junior engineers through direct training and technical review processes.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in protection engineering
- Experience with SEL Relay Settings
- Familiarity with ASPEN OneLiner or PSSE CAPE software
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities
- Excellent organizational and planning skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team
- Dedication to quality and precision
- Willingness to meet fast-paced project timelines
A Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is preferred. The chosen candidate may be subject to client-required drug and background screenings. Occasional travel may be necessary, and candidates must meet the auto insurance requirements of ECI. Sponsorship for employment visa status, such as H-1B, is not available now or in the future.
