We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team at Medical City Dallas. As a critical care registered nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care to critically ill pediatric patients.
Key Responsibilities- Perform direct patient care within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act, with emphasis on the pediatric acute and critically ill patient.
- Organize, implement, modify, evaluate, document, and maintain the plan of care, individualized, family-centered, and holistic.
- Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment and participate in MCCH initiatives and process improvement.
- Provide high-quality age-specific care for the neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, and young adult population.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
- If hired after 6/1/12, BSN required within 24 months of hire into RN position.
- Tier 2: Must be able to work in PICU, CICU, NICU Level IV, Peds ED, 6D, 6N, 6NW, Stem Cell Transplant (pediatric patients).
- 2 years of critical care type experience required with competency to float to others within Tier 2.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support must be obtained within 60 months of employment start date.
- Registered Nurse.
- Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree.
