Job Title: Field Engineer

Sundt is seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team. As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in the success of our projects, working closely with our project engineers and superintendents to ensure that our construction projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist project engineers in developing and maintaining as-built drawings and other work tasks.
  • Review and process submittals, change orders, and budget forecasts.
  • Ensure the timely and appropriate generation, collection, distribution, storage, retrieval, and ultimate disposition of meeting agendas, RFl's, and daily reports.
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the project management plan and perform project scope activities to ensure the work needed to complete the project successfully.
  • Ensure the administration of the project quality management plan and demonstrate a culture of safety throughout the project.
  • May assist in the calculation of daily production rates and unit costs for self-performed work.
  • Participate in risk management, including identification, analysis, response planning, and monitoring and control on a project.
  • May be responsible for overseeing/managing BIM coordination between subcontractors and designers.
  • May be responsible for the documentation and submittal for LEED certification of a building and for creating and updating digital record drawings.
  • May provide lines, grades, and layout as required for the project while maintaining an organized log book.
  • May provide weekly quantities and maintain accurate quantity logs and reports quantities in compliance with the cost control manual.
  • Provide support to superintendents required for the execution of the work and assist in the resolution of field problems as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and communicate with others is essential.
  • Entry-level position that normally requires a four-year construction-related degree or equivalent technical/field experience.
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) proficiency.
