Financial Reporting and Tax Services Lead

As a key member of The Hutton Group, Inc., you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the hospital financial reporting, external audit, and tax services. Your expertise will ensure the completion of the annual external audit plan in conjunction with external auditors, as well as the annual tax return calendar, including coordination with external tax advisors and other members of management. You will also maintain effective control procedures over all aspects of the financial reporting and tax processes, identify improvement opportunities, and participate in financial, operational, compliance, and technology audits and consulting engagements. Additionally, you will coordinate the hospital monthly close reporting, working closely with various entities and functions, and identify opportunities to leverage technology to expand the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial reporting and tax services function.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage all aspects of hospital financial reporting, external audit, and tax services
  • Ensure completion of annual external audit plan and tax return calendar
  • Maintain effective control procedures over financial reporting and tax processes
  • Identify improvement opportunities and develop value-added recommendations
  • Participate in financial, operational, compliance, and technology audits and consulting engagements
  • Coordinate hospital monthly close reporting
  • Identify opportunities to leverage technology to expand efficiency and effectiveness of financial reporting and tax services function

Requirements:
  • 7 years of experience in financial reporting and tax services
  • Strong expertise in financial reporting, external audit, and tax services
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
