As a Senior Technical Advisor specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), you will play a pivotal role in the advancement of energy storage technologies aimed at minimizing carbon footprints and improving energy efficiency. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with suppliers, manufacturers, and various industry partners to implement technical best practices and innovative solutions. You will oversee peer evaluations to confirm project feasibility and ensure adherence to established standards and ENGIE's policies regarding BESS.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project teams in the selection of technology, design, engineering, and execution of BESS initiatives across diverse regions, ensuring effective industrialization and standardization.
- Conduct thorough assessments of BESS designs, focusing on safety and project implementation, including contracting, construction, and commissioning.
- Provide expert guidance on BESS engineering, operations, and maintenance to enhance system performance and reliability.
- Advise on battery technology selection, sizing, and integration to optimize energy storage solutions.
- Identify and recommend enhancements to improve the availability, performance, and longevity of storage systems.
- A Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Energy Systems, or a related discipline with a strong foundation in energy engineering.
- At least ten (10) years of relevant industry experience, including a minimum of three years focused on the design and deployment of Battery Energy Storage Systems, particularly with Li-Ion technology.
- Proven experience in BESS safety protocols and project execution.
- This position supports a hybrid work model.
- Willingness to travel domestically up to 20% of the time, including occasional overnight trips.
- Adherence to all ENGIE ethics and safety standards is mandatory.
Salary Range: $146,300 - $224,135 USD annually. This range reflects the average expected compensation for qualified candidates. Actual salary may vary based on factors such as experience, education, and internal alignment.
In addition to competitive base pay, this role is eligible for a performance-based bonus/incentive plan.
