Position Overview

The Senior Android Software Engineer will be an integral part of the team responsible for developing our flagship mobile application, designed to enhance customer engagement. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage in the development of Android applications, focusing on intricate use cases.
  2. Work closely with Product Managers, UX Designers, and fellow Engineers to refine features and enhance the product.
  3. Oversee the mobile application’s continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD) processes, ensuring efficient deployment pipelines.
  4. Collaborate on solutions aimed at minimizing costs and expediting time-to-market.
  5. Manage the complete application delivery process, coordinating with necessary teams for deployment.
  6. Monitor application performance and key performance indicators (KPIs), addressing production issues as they arise.
  7. Assist in diagnosing complex data and service issues, conducting root cause analysis to preemptively resolve operational challenges.
  8. Promote security best practices within the engineering team, advocating for the importance of security in software development.
  9. Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers in software design and development.

Qualifications:

Applicants should possess a minimum of 10 years of software development experience, with at least 7 years dedicated to designing and developing Android mobile applications. Proficiency in modern Android development frameworks, such as Jetpack Compose and Kotlin, is essential.

Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver outstanding user experiences is required, along with a proven track record of influencing best practices in mobile Android development across large organizations.

Preferred Skills:

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Familiarity with Backend for Front End (BFF) architecture and GraphQL.
  • Expertise in Android tools, frameworks, and reactive programming.
  • Experience integrating third-party frameworks and SDKs.
  • Knowledge of authenticated sessions using OAuth and token-based authentication.
  • Experience with modular build systems and static/dynamic analysis tools.
