Infection Control Nurse/Staff Development Coordinator

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Development Coordinator and Infection Prevention Nurse to join our team at The Laurels of Defiance. As a Staff Development Coordinator, you will be responsible for designing, planning, and providing educational programs on all shifts and for all departments. You will also participate in the staff evaluation process by providing attendance records and observation of employee performance. Additionally, you will provide general facility orientation to all new employees and ongoing in-service education.
As an Infection Prevention Nurse, you will monitor healthcare-associated infections, assess infection prevention problems, and make recommendations for corrective action. You will also initiate, review, and revise infection prevention policies and procedures, consult with department heads and physicians as needed to improve care, and initiate follow-up on employee/resident exposures to communicable diseases.

Responsibilities:
