Job Title: Restaurant Server

The Aspenwood Company is seeking a skilled Restaurant Server to join our team at our Village of Southampton location, an Independent Living, Assisted Living with Memory Care senior community.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a friendly and attentive Restaurant Server to provide exceptional service to our residents and guests in our dining room. The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering outstanding customer service, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work well in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the dining room is clean and set up to company standards for all meals and functions.
  • Greet residents and guests with a smile and ensure each resident has a place to sit.
  • Take food orders, present to kitchen staff, and deliver meals to residents and guests in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate fulfillment of orders and check food quality/presentation.
  • Respond quickly to resident and guest requests and interact with guests in the dining room to ensure their satisfaction.
  • Pour and refill drinks in a timely manner.
  • Adhere to all food handling, food service, safety, and sanitation standards.
  • Assist with setting tables, removing dirty dishes, disposing of waste materials, and restocking inventory.
  • Ensure residents' safety by removing walkers from the dining room and returning them immediately after finishing meals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and make each resident or guest feel like the most important person.
  • Fully understand the menu and be able to explain selections to residents and guests.
  • Maintain or exceed standards of appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
  • Attend all required inservices and be a member of the community's emergency response team.
Requirements:
  • Must be or become within 60 days an accredited food handler per State guidelines.
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • 6 months to one year of related experience preferred.
  • Great customer service attitude and ability to interact well with staff, residents, and guests.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions and work independently or with others.
