Job Title: Associate Veterinarian

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our team at New York Veterinary Associate P.C., d/b/a Miller & Associates. As a key member of our veterinary team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to our equine patients and their owners.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough medical evaluations of equine patients, including obtaining medical histories, performing lameness exams, and administering medications.
  • Develop and implement equine vaccination strategies to ensure the health and well-being of our patients.
  • Perform diagnostic nerve blocks and evaluate lameness in equine patients.
  • Collaborate with our veterinary team to provide comprehensive care to our patients, including performing pre-purchase examinations and evaluating suitability for clients.
  • Prescribe medications and treatments as needed, and direct referrals to equine hospitals or additional veterinary specialists when necessary.
Requirements:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an AVMA-accredited college or successful completion of the ECFVG certification program or the PAVE certification program.
  • Eligibility for state licensure.
  • 1 year of experience in the job offered or in a Veterinarian-related field.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $85,051 to $90,000 per year, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
