Overview:
We are in search of two experienced Java engineers to contribute to the development of critical products, establish software specifications, and manage comprehensive features on extensive, multi-year initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

The lead software engineer will devise innovative solutions to intricate challenges, which may involve integrating new systems into our technology frameworks, revising data architectures, re-evaluating persistence layers, or actively participating in code assessments.

As a vital member of our product team, the lead Java engineers will advocate for product excellence in enterprise-level application development.

They will engage in creating various application types utilizing Java and J2EE, including developing new applications based on established program specifications, maintaining and modifying existing programs, and exploring some of the latest and emerging technologies.

Accountable for the delivery and support of numerous high-profile web applications, we seek individuals with exceptional technical skills who are eager to make a significant impact within this diverse and growing team.


Qualifications:
Proficient with Unix-based systems (Solaris, HPUX, BSD, Linux). Familiarity with Eclipse is preferred, but other IDE platforms and version control systems (e.g., CVS, Subversion) are acceptable. Knowledge of MySQL Cluster, MySQL is preferred, but other major RDBMS solutions are welcome. Understanding of object-oriented principles. Experience with XML/XSLT parsers, XPath, XMLBeans, JDOM. Familiarity with Jakarta libraries such as Log4J, Commons, ANT, and Junit. Experience with JMS and message queues such as IBM's MQ Series or equivalents is advantageous. Exposure to content management systems technology, e.g., CQ5, Interwoven. Only candidates available and prepared to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.

Certifications & Training:

Sun Java Certification or other vendor certifications are preferred, including Java Software Engineer, J2EE Software Developer, Java Programmer, Java eCommerce Developer.
