  • Manages cost objectives on a daily and weekly basis, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Maintains production output to guarantee sufficient supply while optimizing inventory costs.
  • Builds strong working relationships with various departments, including Quality Assurance and Maintenance.

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPS

This position reports directly to the Plant Manager and oversees the work of multiple non-exempt Team Members across various production areas. The Bilingual Production Supervisor interacts with Team Members, other Production and Plant Managers, Senior Leadership, and various support functions.

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience, Skills, and Abilities

  • Minimum of 3 years in a leadership role within a production environment.
  • At least 3 years of experience in food processing, preferably in meat production.
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish.
  • Familiarity with production and warehouse management systems.
  • Experience in implementing cost control measures.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Adept at managing multiple priorities with excellent organizational skills.
  • HACCP certification is preferred.
  • Experience in a USDA-regulated facility is advantageous.
  • Basic understanding of finance, budgeting, and cost analysis.
  • Project management skills with a focus on leading change initiatives.

TRAVEL REQUIREMENT

  • Occasional travel may be necessary.

EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND

  • Preferred qualifications include certifications such as HACCP, SQF, or other GFSI credentials.
  • A Bachelor's degree in business or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
