Job Title: Sr Principal Engineer Software

Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled Sr Principal Engineer Software to join our team of experts in the field of Global Integration. This position will be based at Schriever Space Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO.

Job Summary:

The Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program is a critical operational system that enables the U.S. president, secretary of defense, and combatant commanders to systematically plan ballistic missile defense operations. As a Sr Principal Engineer Software, you will play a key role in integrating system components within a test environment, troubleshooting issues, and developing configurations to support tests and prototypes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist software development personnel with investigating and resolving issues
  • Develop configurations to support tests and prototypes of developing systems
  • Create and modify scripts to analyze input, internal, and output message data
  • Troubleshoot both test and prototype issues
  • Develop troubleshooting procedures and work-around documents
  • Review and provide feedback on system specifications, development, test, and network documents as necessary
  • Automate scripting to configure and maintain remote hosts
  • Work with virtualized environments and software testing
Requirements:
  • Active Secret clearance required, with ability to obtain TS clearance
  • 9 years with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or 13 years experience in lieu of degree, or 7 years with a Master's degree
  • DoD 8140 certification at IAT Level II or higher
  • Proficient in Linux scripting (bash, python)
  • High-level understanding of automation and implementation
  • Hands-on experience with DoD integration processes, Agile and DevOps methodologies, and automated test tools
