About the Role

Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a PRN basis. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for preparing and administering radiopharmaceuticals, as well as performing diagnostic studies per physician orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer radiopharmaceuticals and medications for patient imaging and therapeutic procedures
  • Process data and enhance digital images using advanced computer technology
  • Provide images, data analysis, and patient information for diagnostic interpretation or therapeutic procedures
  • Evaluate images to determine technical quality and calibration of instrumentation
  • Operate radiation detection devices, analog-digital and/or SPECT cameras, data processing units, and other pertinent imaging or counting documentation
  • Perform daily and quarterly Quality Control on all imaging and measurement instruments
Requirements
  • Graduate of an educational program in Nuclear Medicine technology accredited by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or the Nuclear Medicine Certification Board
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in Nuclear Regulatory Commission and State regulations
