Job Summary:

Terex is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic to join our team. As a Heavy Equipment Shop Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy machinery and utility equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and utility equipment
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues
  • Inspect equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Convey information to Terex team members as appropriate
  • Preside at trade shows and coordinate business development and educational activities with customers and contacts

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Basic set of mechanical tools (sockets, wrenches, and battery-operated impact gun)
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience working with heavy machinery and/or utility equipment
  • Willingness to submit for pre-employment background check and drug screening

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 5+ years in a similar field
  • Excellent communication skills both oral and written
  • Experience with utility-type equipment
  • Fluid Power Society certification (experience, or knowledge)
  • Extensive knowledge of Terex Products: e.g Hi-Ranger, Telelect, Genie products or similar brands

Work Environment:

  • Ability to stand on concrete 8+ hours per shift
  • Able to climb ladders and over and under vehicles
  • Tolerable to heights

Compensation:

The compensation range for this position is $30-38 hourly. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
