Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Shop Operations Manager to join our team at Bottom Line Equipment. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our shop, as well as providing guidance and support to our technicians.

Key Responsibilities
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment for employees and visitors, and ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations and company policies.
  • Training and Development: Train, guide, and support technicians in safe practices, and assist in the evaluation of work orders for accuracy and completeness.
  • Operations Management: Assist the Service Manager in coordinating and scheduling technician training, and oversee the functions and personnel within the Wash Rack area.
  • Customer Service: Advise the Service Manager of all customer complaints, and assist in providing performance feedback to technicians.
  • Administrative Tasks: Assist with special projects, and cover for multiple positions when staffing levels are low or operating demands are accelerated.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction and heavy equipment industry as a Mechanic or Field Technician.
  • Management Experience: Management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in Wynne System and Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
  • Knowledge: Knowledge of frequently used Sales and Customer Relations Concepts, Practices, and Procedures.
