Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide substance use disorder services to inmates, including assessment, treatment planning, and progress monitoring.
  • Manage detox for non-opioid users and prescribe medications as needed.
  • Manage Medically Assisted Treatment (MAT) for opioid users, including medication management and monitoring.
  • Keep accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Independently resolve daily medical issues and work effectively within a correctional setting, demonstrating professionalism and adherence to facility protocols.

Requirements:

  • Active VA License
  • BC/BE
  • DEA certificate
  • Experience providing substance use disorder services
