Overview:

The Senior Polymer Engineering Manager will oversee the development and enhancement of materials, machinery, tooling, and processing methodologies, ensuring a sustainable process for future operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Guarantee that foam manufacturing machinery operates safely, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Lead the product development team from the initial design phase through to processing.
  • Provide technical support and engage in trial runs for both existing and new products.
  • Identify and assess technological advancements to enhance manufacturing processes.
  • Evaluate manufactured products against established specifications and quality benchmarks.
Process Specification Management:

Develop, modify, and approve process specifications for manufacturing areas, ensuring adherence to the specifications outlined in the process manual. Maintain document control for manufacturing process specifications.

Collaboration:

Work closely with Research & Development, production, and Quality Control teams to ensure that new formulations align with market demands and specific customer requirements.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Polymer Chemical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Five to ten years of experience in polyester/polyether foam.
  • Strong understanding of foam machinery operation and polymer chemistry, alongside a proficient knowledge of polyurethane raw materials, processing methods, and end-user applications.
  • Experience in troubleshooting manufacturing processes.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including supervision, mentoring, coaching, and presentation abilities, with the capacity to engage with colleagues across various technical levels.
