Automotive Infotainment Integration Specialist

As an Automotive Infotainment Integration Specialist at VW Credit, Inc., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of infotainment systems in vehicles. Your primary responsibility will be to validate ECU's as a whole vehicle package prior to release to the broader project team. This involves coordinating with module responsible engineers to ensure expected version levels, updating local test equipment, validating the package, and releasing the configuration to the global project team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release planning and smoke testing of software combinations, providing release recommendations (release OK/NOK)
- Configuration management, providing necessary configuration files required for testing (ZDC; ODX, OCU data set)
- Technical support, including Level 1 support for test teams
- Distribution of releases at fixed dates via email and in Confluence
Garage/Technician Support:
- Maintain vehicle hardware and test resources, collaborating with global project teams to swap ECUs, install trace setup, and ensure expected tracing capabilities (CAN, ETH, MLP, OCU, serial2,...)
Qualifications:
- ~3-5 years of related engineering experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field (required); Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering (desired)
- Analytical and conceptual thinking, communication skills, computer savvy, integration, influencing and negotiation skills, resource management, and German language skills (advantageous)
Specialized Skills:
- Experience with automotive infotainment control module SW development and feature design
- Experience in connected services and connected application development
- Experience with cloud development and authentication
- Experience regarding the integration of multiple control units in an automotive system
Work Flexibility:
- Travel to suppliers and VW facilities
