Job Overview

Tennessee Wellness Center LLC is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced professional to work closely with clients, providing direct services and support in a dynamic environment.

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Licensed Counselor to facilitate individual therapy sessions, group counseling, and family therapy. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work effectively in a team, and maintain confidentiality at all times.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Clinical Therapist will:

  • Educate clients on recovery principles and healthy living
  • Assist in creating a safe and supportive environment for clients
  • Complete necessary documentation in electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Coordinate aftercare plans with discharge coordinators
  • Maintain client records according to facility policies and applicable state regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines
  • Communicate effectively with the medical and clinical team
Individual Therapy/Counseling

The Clinical Therapist will:

  • Hold an active caseload of 7-13 clients
  • Facilitate one individual therapy session per week
  • Document progress and updates in a timely manner
  • Communicate with family members regarding client progress
  • Ensure necessary authorizations are completed for insurance coverage
Group Therapy/Counseling

The Clinical Therapist will:

  • Facilitate groups as designated by the schedule
  • De-escalate issues that arise during group sessions
  • Communicate effectively with the treatment team
Family Therapy/Counseling

The Clinical Therapist will:

  • Contact family members to arrange sessions
  • Determine the need for family therapy with each client
  • Facilitate family therapy sessions
Discharge Planning

The Clinical Therapist will:

  • Assist clients in determining aftercare plans
  • Help prevent AMA discharges by meeting with clients
  • Communicate with the treatment team regarding AMA situations
Requirements and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, applicants must possess:

  • A Master's degree or higher in a related field
  • A valid driver's license
  • 18 years of age or older
  • Licensure consisting of LAPC, LMSW, LAMFT, LPC, LCSW, or LMFT
  • One to two years of experience in mental health/substance abuse treatment
Estimated Salary

$55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
