HealthStar is seeking a dedicated and skilled Clinical Support Specialist to join our team. This role plays a vital part in providing exceptional patient care, ensuring seamless day-to-day operations, and supporting the growth of our medical services.

About the Job

The Clinical Support Specialist will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical support to patients, colleagues, and management teams. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional patient care.

We are offering an estimated annual salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 based on experience and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Clinical responsibilities include patient triage (weight, blood pressure, temperature readings, updating medication list, and obtaining and documentation of chief complaint).
  • Responsible for electronic patient prescription services, including communication with pharmacies and verification of all medical prescriptions.
  • Must be knowledgeable of EMR systems.
  • Responsible for phlebotomy and EKGs.
  • Answers telephone calls, screens calls, retrieves voicemails, returns patient calls, and responds to inquiries regarding patient appointments and testing.
  • Responsible for pre-certifying requirements for all procedures.
  • Responsible for communicating with patients regarding lab results.
  • Responsible for maintaining daily logs and ensuring accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Assists other staff members as directed and contributes to the overall success of the healthcare team.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Medical Assistant Training preferred.
  • Current CPR Certification required.
  • Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) certification preferred.
  • State-licensed LPN Nurse preferred but not required.
