Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Instrumentation Technician to join our dynamic team at ISC Constructors, LLC. This role is crucial for ensuring the operational efficiency of our instrumentation systems across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Calibrate, troubleshoot, and maintain a wide range of process instruments as part of our comprehensive maintenance program.
- Conduct regular inspections and repairs on valves, vibration monitors, and other critical instruments.
- Perform pressure testing on pneumatic instruments to ensure leak-free operation.
- Engage in troubleshooting of energized motor controls and electrical systems.
- Evaluate and size thermal overloads, breakers, and fuses for optimal performance.
- Conduct thorough instrumentation evaluations for electrical, pneumatic, and electronic systems, including PLCs.
- Identify opportunities for performance optimization and enhancement of instrumentation.
- Verify electrical wiring integrity through loop checks and continuity tests.
- Execute field calibration of electronic instruments, ensuring accuracy and reliability.
- Interpret and troubleshoot from one-line schematics, P&IDs, and ladder diagrams.
- Utilize electrical testing equipment, including AMP meters and insulation testers, proficiently.
- Adhere to applicable electrical safety regulations and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to meet the standards set by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Skill Assessment.
- Successful completion of pre-employment drug and alcohol testing, along with background checks.
- A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in the instrumentation field.
- An Associate's Degree in Instrumentation or a related discipline.
