We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team at At Home Healthcare. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing supervision of Assistants and therapy visits for patients. Your expertise will be invaluable in evaluating client level of function, determining type of speech or language disorder, and recommending appropriate corrective therapy for client.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide assistance to the physician in evaluating client level of function and determining type of speech or language disorder.
  • Recommend appropriate corrective therapy for client and participate in development and modification of plan of care.
  • Accurately provide speech and language disorder services as prescribed by the physician.
  • Maintain current knowledge of client's condition through observation and document any changes in client condition to the client file.
  • Immediately report any changes in client condition or response to therapy to the physician and nursing supervisor.
  • Recommends changes to the plan of care as appropriate and implements changes in the plan of care upon receipt of authorization by the client's physician.
  • Provide instruction and training to other health care personnel, the client, and family members in appropriate methods to assist the client to improve and correct speech disabilities.
  • Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary team and counsel and confer with members of the team to evaluate the client's progress and response to treatments.
  • Document all services performed for clients daily and maintain accurate, thorough progress notes for file.

Qualifications:

  • Comprehensive field of knowledge attained through graduation from an accredited Speech therapy curriculum.
  • Must have 2 years of direct client contact.
  • Must have and maintain current license as a Speech Therapist in the State of practice.
  • Must have current valid Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech Pathology or Audiology granted by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
  • Must maintain current certificate in basic life support (CPR).
  • Must provide proof of TB screening which occurred within the past 12-months.
