Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze cardiac rhythms of telemetry patients, ensuring timely reporting of any abnormalities.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to telemetry monitoring equipment.
  • Assist in basic patient care tasks as directed by a Registered Nurse, which may include monitoring vital signs and recording patient intake and output.
  • Support patients with personal care and daily living activities, such as bathing, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Communicate any significant changes in patients' physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the nursing staff promptly.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization in patient rooms and shared areas, ensuring all supplies are adequately stocked.
QualificationsEducation:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Completion of a foundational telemetry monitoring course or competency training in basic arrhythmia interpretation is required.
Experience:
Prior experience in acute care settings is preferred.
Skills:
This role demands strong critical thinking abilities, sound judgment, and the capacity to work independently. Candidates must thrive in high-pressure environments and respond appropriately to various situations.
Certifications:
AHA Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
Licenses:
Certification as a Nursing Assistant or higher-level Cardiac Certification is required.
