Join our dedicated team at Lancaster General Health as an Operating Room Surgical Specialist. This role is integral to the surgical team, providing essential support during various operative procedures.
Job Details:
Location: Lancaster General Health
Shift: Combination of 8, 10, and 12-hour shifts
On-Call Requirements: Participation in on-call shifts every third weekend, including one summer and one winter holiday
FTE: 1.0
Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 for a 2-year commitment
Key Responsibilities:
As an Operating Room Surgical Specialist, you will:
- Assist in patient care by managing surgical instruments during procedures.
- Prepare and arrange surgical instruments and supplies in compliance with established protocols.
- Ensure adherence to infection control standards and aseptic techniques.
- Support the surgical team by anticipating the needs of the surgeon and providing necessary instruments and supplies.
- Participate in the on-call system for emergency cases.
Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Graduation from an accredited surgical technology program or military surgical training.
- CPR Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- One year of experience in an Operating Room setting.
