Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Support Lead to join our team at Upstate Niagara Cooperative, Inc. This role will be responsible for supervising and leading the distribution shuttle team in day-to-day operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of trailers and products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage workflow and oversee the distribution shuttle team to ensure trailers are properly emptied and washed, and moved in/out of bay doors as needed.
  • Transport trailers to appropriate locations, including Thompson Rd Depot, SCS, and exit 35 compound, and conduct pickups as needed.
  • Ensure all safety and performance standards are met, including State and Federal DOT standards.
  • Handle general employee inquiries and solve issues that arise, conduct shift meetings, and maintain accurate records.
  • Lead and direct work activities of shift employees, ensuring company policies are followed, and training employees on safety procedures and company policies.
  • Maintain vehicle and hours of service logs using an ELD, and ensure all required paperwork is up-to-date.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts to improve services and processes, and maintain reliable attendance and consistent work hours.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • CDL Class A license, or comparable work experience in a related field.
  • General computer knowledge of functions such as Microsoft Office, spreadsheets, etc.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and lead by example.
