Reliability Engineer Lead

As a Reliability and Maintainability Engineering Lead, you'll play a critical role in developing innovative solutions for electronic prototypes designed for advanced sensing, communication, and navigation systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Develop and specify reliability and maintainability requirements for new complex electro-mechanical systems
- Conduct system reliability and maintainability modeling and analyses
- Assess Failure Modes Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA)
- Participate in design reviews and assessments
- Participate in test planning and evaluations
- Assess failure analyses, corrective actions, and reliability growth curves
- Conduct field evaluations and sustainment support to include sparing analysis and obsolescence risk analysis
- Assess production testing plans to include Environmental Stress Screening (ESS) and lot sampling plans
- Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience
- B.S. in engineering with reliability and maintainability or operations research or systems engineering background
- 5+ years' experience with reliability and maintainability predictions and modeling techniques
- 5+ years' experience with FMECA
- 5+ years' experience with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) process
- 5+ years' experience with reliability and maintainability testing, including reliability growth testing, qualification testing, and production testing
- Ability to formulate reliability and maintainability requirements based on user mission concept
- Familiarity with concepts in software reliability and reliability and maintainability software tools
- Familiarity with concepts of digital engineering such as SysML and other model architectures
- This position requires a minimum of 50% hybrid on-site
- Advanced engineering degree (M.S. or PhD) with background in reliability and maintainability
- 10+ years of experience performing reliability engineering activities
- Knowledge of reliability growth theory and tools and performing reliability and maintainability testing
- Experience leading engineering tasks
- Experience proposing reliability and maintainability infrastructure and technology development efforts
