Bakery Clerk Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused Bakery Clerk to join our team at Strack and Van Til. As a key member of our bakery team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and ensuring the highest quality products are available to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Customer Service: Assist customers with purchases, answer questions, and provide product recommendations.
  • Inventory Management: Receive, stock, and rotate bakery products to ensure freshness and availability.
  • Product Preparation: Prepare and package bakery products for sale, including cutting open boxes and arranging displays.
  • Cleaning and Sanitation: Maintain a clean and sanitary store environment, including the bakery department, back room, and cooler/freezer.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to achieve sales goals and provide excellent customer service.
Requirements:
  • Positive Attitude: A positive customer service attitude and pleasant personality are essential for success in this role.
  • Effective Communication: Strong communication skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with customers and team members.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain a clean and organized store environment, including attention to detail when preparing and packaging products.
