Key Responsibilities

  • Interpret blueprints and technical specifications to formulate accurate estimates.
  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, contractors, and sales teams to create competitive bids.
  • Assess and modify estimates based on variables impacting costs, including production timelines, materials, and labor.

  • Oversee construction projects from initial conception through to completion.
  • Conduct interviews and assess potential employees and subcontractors.
  • Establish a communication plan to keep stakeholders informed about project progress.
  • Generate profit forecasts, estimate expenses, and schedule deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Regularly review the quality of work with the project team to ensure adherence to project standards.
Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years in an estimating or project management capacity is required.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is advantageous.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Extensive knowledge of the construction sector and the complete building process, including codes, blueprints, permits, equipment, materials, and project management principles.
  • Familiarity with construction or project management software is preferred.
