Job Summary:

This position assists in the daily monitoring of residents, working closely with clinical, education, and other milieu staff. Duties may include but are not limited to, developing life skills, recreation and social activities, and re-directing patient behavior.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement life skills training programs for residents
  • Assist in the development and implementation of recreational and social activities
  • Provide support and guidance to residents in a therapeutic milieu
  • Collaborate with clinical and education staff to ensure comprehensive care

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma and one (1) year of experience in a residential treatment facility
  • Experience working in a therapeutic milieu and recover-oriented environments
  • Ability to work days, evenings, nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Working Conditions:

This position is performed in an adolescent treatment center, with exposure to mentally and/or behaviorally challenged residents, who may exhibit unpredictable behaviors.

This position may work in an office setting using related office equipment, with exposure to Visual Video Display Terminal and extensive personal computer and phone usage.

Pushing, pulling, lifting, and/or carrying are required.
