Dental Assistant Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team at the Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting our dental team in delivering high-quality services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist dentists in performing clinical procedures, including instrument sterilization and maintenance of equipment.
  • Operate dental equipment, such as evacuators and autoclaves, as needed.
  • Assist with patient management, including scheduling appointments and maintaining accurate records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and dental repair services technicians.
  • Participate in education programs for patients and staff, and maintain records of radiation exposure and autoclave testing.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • One year of approved chair-side experience as a dental assistant preferred.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Excellent hand-eye coordination and ability to sit/stand for long periods.
  • Able to tolerate hospital smells and wear necessary hospital masks, gowns, gloves, and close-toed shoes.
