Senior Mechanical Project Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the Project Director and Estimating team to develop a comprehensive Project Chart of Accounts.
Develop and maintain detailed Project Contract status reports.
Work closely with the Project Superintendent to create a project site logistics plan.
Maintain a thorough understanding of the contract and contract documents.
Oversee the pay request process and ensure timely payment to subcontractors and vendors.
Monitor project costs and Job Cost Report to ensure accuracy and compliance.
Analyze and forecast quarterly Total Cost Projection reports to inform project decisions.
Implement and monitor training programs for all staff personnel to enhance skills and knowledge.
Communicate project labor needs and scheduling requirements to ensure smooth project execution.
Review and approve material, equipment, and rental needs to support project schedules.
Oversee the material procurement process to facilitate project schedules and ensure timely delivery.
Assist the Estimating team in bidding projects to ensure accurate estimates and competitive pricing.
Implement applicable safety, EEO, and Affirmative Action programs to ensure a safe and inclusive work environment.
Lead the project's quality process to ensure high-quality work and customer satisfaction.
Develop, schedule, and lead project close-out processes to ensure a smooth transition to the next phase.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with vendors, subcontractors, and owners to represent McCarthy's core values.
Implement all applicable Safety Programs and EEO/Affirmative Action Programs to ensure compliance and a positive work environment.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or Engineering is required.
3+ years of experience in highly complex mechanical and plumbing construction projects is necessary.
Advanced knowledge of complex mechanical systems and means/methods of installation is essential.
Understanding of plumbing and mechanical code and installation practices is required.
Experience in managing subcontracts and leading successful project teams is necessary.
Ability to develop employee relationships and maintain relationships with external entities is essential.
