Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Retail Sales Associate at Smart Foodservice Stores LLC. As a key member of our sales floor team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, maintaining a clean and organized store environment, and achieving sales goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, easy, and efficient service to customers, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
  • Maintain a clean and organized store environment, including the sales floor, front end, and restrooms.
  • Restock shelves, process inventory shipments, and maintain accurate inventory levels.
  • Operate a cash register, handle customer transactions, and maintain accurate cash handling procedures.
  • Assist with price changes, inventory management, and other tasks as assigned by management.
  • Participate in the inventory and cycle count process, ensuring accurate inventory levels and minimizing shrinkage.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, providing personalized service and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent work experience required.
  • Minimum 6-12 months retail cashier and/or stocking experience required.
  • Minimum one year retail selling and/or customer service experience preferred.
  • Ability to work a flexible hourly schedule, including holidays and weekends.
  • Basic computer skills, cash handling experience, and proficiency utilizing general office equipment.
  • Ability to lift 1-10 lbs frequently, 11-20 lbs frequently, 21-50 lbs frequently, 51-100 lbs occasionally, and over 100 lbs never.
  • Ability to stand continuously, walk frequently, sit occasionally, and perform other physical activities as required.
Working Conditions

This role is performed in a retail store setting, open to the public. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is typically performed on a level surface, but the use of a ladder or working on an elevated surface may be required as needed. Temperature varies throughout the store ranging from -10 to 85 degrees.

Compensation

The expected compensation for this role is $19.66 per hour, with opportunities for overtime compensation. This part-time position is ineligible for benefits.
