POSITION SUMMARY:

West Coast Code Consultants, Inc. (WC3) is seeking a qualified Civil or Structural Engineer to fulfill a vital role in our operations. This position involves delivering expert evaluations and conducting plan assessments for our jurisdictional clientele across the Northwestern region, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and promoting innovative construction practices.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Evaluate architectural plans and construction documents to verify compliance with structural building codes.
  • Draft detailed deficiency letters for permit applicants efficiently.
  • Engage in effective communication with clients, permit applicants, and contractors to facilitate project progression.
  • Undertake additional related tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Preferred licensure as a Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer in the State of Washington.
  • Completion of the NCEES Fundamentals of Engineering exam is mandatory.
  • 5+ years of experience in structural design or plan assessment is preferred.
  • Possession of International Code Council (ICC) plan review certifications is advantageous.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

COMPENSATION:

Annual salary ranges from $85,000 to $125,000, commensurate with experience.
