Job Title: Anatomic Pathology Technician

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Anatomic Pathology Technician to join our team. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing necropsy procedures on animals and working with microbiology samples in a BSL-2/BSL-3 laboratory environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform tissue trimming and specimen collection for necropsy procedures
  • Work with hazardous materials in a BSL-2/BSL-3 laboratory environment
  • Clean and decontaminate laboratory equipment and work areas
  • Validate laboratory equipment and instruments
  • Meet security clearance eligibility requirements
  • Obtain and maintain certification in the Biological Suitability Assessment Program (BSAP)
  • Obtain and maintain DoJ Security Risk Assessment (SRA) approval
  • Obtain and maintain CDC approval to work with BSAT material
  • Participate in random drug screening
  • Respond to emergency situations and alarms

Requirements:

  • Associate Degree in biology, animal science, or a related field
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Security clearance eligibility required
  • Ability to work in a high-security, biocontainment environment
  • Ability to obtain/maintain certification in the Biological Suitability Assessment Program (BSAP)
  • Ability to obtain/maintain DoJ Security Risk Assessment (SRA) approval
  • Ability to obtain/maintain CDC approval to work with BSAT material
