Job Summary

This Quality Control Supervisor role is a key position at Liscio's Italian Bakery, Inc. where you will contribute to the success of our organization by ensuring the overall quality of ingredients and finished products in accordance with our company's standards.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor document control and employee/facility adherence to the SQF code as well as Liscio's policies and procedures.
  • Assist with managing team execution of key food safety pre-requisite programs such as GMP compliance, sanitation, documentation and recordkeeping, regulatory audits, etc.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of process improvements and technical developments.
  • Build people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for both management and front-line hourly personnel.
  • Develop the team to solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals.
  • Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact.
  • Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues.
  • Motivate team members to achieve plan goals.
  • Ensure compliance with all health & safety regulations including food safety.
  • Assist with regulatory audits/inspections.
  • Administer policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience preferred.
  • Prerequisites and certifications preferred: SQF practitioner, HACCP, PCQI, GMP, CFR and FSMA knowledge.
  • Previous experience within the quality control department of a high-speed food manufacturing environment, preferably consumer packaged goods preferred.
  • Ability to prioritize and perform multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite applications.
  • Ability to give and receive constructive feedback.
  • Ability to lead a team-based approach to decision making.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a results-oriented, challenging environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring skills.
  • Effective coaching, facilitation, presentation, and team building skills.
