Job Overview:

The Financial Analyst plays a crucial role in generating current, projected, and historical financial insights for various departments, programs, and service lines, both on a recurring and ad-hoc basis.

This position is tasked with developing comprehensive financial models and providing support for a range of strategic initiatives within the organization.

The analyst collaborates closely with the CFO, Controller, accounting staff, financial planning teams, and senior leadership, reporting directly to the Financial Analysis Manager and Financial Controller.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct regular reporting, including but not limited to, Contractual Allowance analysis, labor productivity metrics, profitability assessments, and third-party surveys.
  • Prepare non-recurring reports that summarize data, provide recommendations, and draw conclusions.
  • Assist the Financial Analysis Manager in maintaining the Cost Accounting System.
  • Collaborate with Finance department team members and leadership to identify new profitable services through feasibility studies.
  • Generate pro-forma financial statements to assist management in decision-making processes.
  • Engage with consultants on various organizational initiatives.
  • Present financial data and provide analytical support during senior leadership presentations.
  • Assist with both internal and external benchmarking and analysis.
  • Participate in finance-related committees (e.g., BPIC, products committee, cost-saving committee).
  • Provide coverage for Financial Analyst 1 in daily reporting tasks.
  • Perform all other assigned duties as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business-related field.

Experience:
A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an accounting or business environment, preferably within the healthcare sector.

Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities, including a solid understanding of statistics and the ability to interpret financial data in relation to statistical interdependencies.

Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

Licensure:
Not applicable.

Physical Requirements:
90% sitting, 10% standing.
