Role Responsibilities:

This position is crucial for maintaining the quality of products through the implementation of inspection protocols for mechanical parts, subassemblies, and completed assemblies, which can range from small metal enclosures to large modular structures.

Daily Tasks Include:

  • Conducting regular inspections of mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products.
  • Auditing manufacturing processes related to metal forming, fabrication, and mechanical assembly.
  • Documenting quality standards and specifications pertinent to metal fabrication and assembly, while collaborating with quality management to standardize and train staff on these standards.
  • Ensuring compliance with approved methods and technical drawings in all work.
  • Recording any material non-conformances identified during inspections of ongoing work, finished products, or incoming materials.
  • Working with safety, engineering, and manufacturing teams to enhance design for manufacturability, aiming to minimize waste, manufacturing delays, and improve the overall functionality of the final product.
  • Verifying that product designs adhere to regulatory requirements, commercial codes, customer specifications, engineering standards, and company practices.
  • Assisting in the execution of the tool calibration program, focusing on mechanical inspection equipment to ensure all tools are calibrated and functioning correctly before use.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Willingness to undergo background and drug testing.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Capable of making high-level decisions based on analytical insights.
  • Ability to lift, lower, push, and pull items weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Capacity to stand, walk, stoop, and bend for extended periods.
  • Frequent use of arms, hands, fingers, eyes, legs, and back is required.
  • Familiarity with materials used in metal component and structure fabrication.
  • Minimum educational requirement of a High School diploma or GED.
  • At least five years of experience in metal fabrication manufacturing or quality inspection roles.
  • Experience with modular building construction, standalone metal structures, and electrical enclosures is preferred.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Word and Excel; knowledge of scheduling software is a plus.

Compensation Range:
Compensation is set between $23-27/hr, with Restricted Stock Units included in all offers. Final compensation will be determined based on the applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, along with internal equity and market data alignment.
