Clinical Support Specialist

This dynamic role involves facilitating patient flow, managing patient records, and verifying insurance eligibility. Our ideal candidate has experience in health education, patient navigation, or a related field and is proficient in Microsoft Office and HIPAA standards. A strong background in customer service and language skills (English and Spanish, Arabic, Burmese, Chinese, or another language) is an asset.
Duties and Responsibilities
You will be responsible for greeting patients, registering new patients, updating patient demographics, and managing patient records in compliance with HOPE Clinic guidelines. Additional tasks include scanning medical records into the system, faxing/mail sending out medical records, submitting and documenting forms, and maintaining confidentiality of patient information. As part of our Patient Services team, you will also assist with incoming calls, create telephone notes, and perform scheduling and inquiries tasks. Community engagement and on-site/off-site clinic events may be required periodically. Hoagstrauss-GlassmanCA Collaborative preference holder.
