The Sleep Medicine Clinic is eager to welcome a collaborative and personable Medical Assistant to our team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • This Medical Assistant role will primarily involve working closely with a newly appointed Pediatric Sleep Medicine physician.
  • Our Sleep Disorders Centers are staffed by physicians who are either board-certified or trained in sleep medicine.
  • Each facility provides a comprehensive sleep program that focuses on diagnosing and treating both adult and pediatric sleep disorders, including conditions such as sleep apnea, narcolepsy, and chronic insomnia.
  • The program encompasses thorough evaluations, including sleep studies and various tests to identify sleep disorders ranging from mild to severe.

What You Will Do:

  • Collaborate with a Pediatric Sleep Medicine physician who is new to our organization.
  • Engage in a supportive and dynamic care team environment alongside other Medical Assistants and a variety of healthcare providers.
  • In addition to patient intake and rooming, you will handle prior authorizations and manage orders from other providers.
  • Coordinate with providers to send, download, and review sleep studies, and work closely with Durable Medical Equipment suppliers.
  • Operate in a balanced-paced environment that keeps you engaged without overwhelming stress, fostering open communication.
  • The ideal candidate will be a proactive team player, possess a positive demeanor, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and grow with the team.

Work Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Medical Assistant certification must be obtained within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from an approved agency.
  • Completion of either 6 months of Medical Assistant experience or a 100-hour externship is required, even with certification.
  • Basic Life Support certification for Healthcare providers is required upon hire.
