Sign-On Bonus: Eligible candidates may receive a $40K sign-on bonus, applicable to external candidates with a minimum of one year of current RN Acute Care experience. Internal candidates transferring to bonus-eligible positions are not eligible for this bonus, which is distributed over a three-year period of continuous full-time employment.
Requirements:
- Valid RN license in the state of Connecticut
- BLS certification
Work Schedule:
- 36 hours per week
- Evening/Night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including a minimum of three weekend shifts per schedule.
Position Summary:
As a Registered Nurse, you will provide professional care and take responsibility for a designated group of patients during a specified timeframe. Your role will involve utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other healthcare team members to deliver optimal patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Conduct ongoing assessments focusing on physiological, psychological, and cognitive status.
2. Develop a prioritized, goal-directed care plan based on nursing diagnoses and patient outcomes.
3. Deliver care consistently and knowledgeably.
4. Establish patient care priorities based on essential needs and available resources.
5. Evaluate the effectiveness of care and patient progress towards outcomes.
6. Identify learning needs of patients and significant others, implementing appropriate educational measures.
7. Coordinate interdisciplinary functions.
8. Fulfill compliance responsibilities related to the position.
9. Perform additional duties as assigned.
