CIP Operator

Job Summary:

As a CIP Operator at Publix Super Markets, Inc., you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of sanitation and cleanliness in our dairy production facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to operate, monitor, and understand the CIP (Clean-In-Place) and COP (Clean-Out-Place) systems, ensuring the production of high-quality food products.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintaining sanitary equipment and environment to prevent contamination and ensure food safety
Operating and monitoring CIP and COP systems to optimize cleaning efficiency and effectiveness
Manually and hand cleaning silo and pipeline parts to prevent clogging and contamination
Operating and maintaining equipment in the CIP room to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
Receiving and storing bulk chemicals in a safe and organized manner
Maintaining accurate written cleaning reports and checklists to track cleaning activities and identify areas for improvement
Cleaning production hallways and assisting in cleaning all plant areas as needed to maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements:

Good understanding of sanitation practices and principles, including manual and automated cleaning
Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently to achieve cleaning goals and objectives
Willingness to work flexible days and hours to meet the needs of the production schedule
Ability to lift 50 pounds and climb ladders to clean overhead piping
Basic computer, reading, and math skills to maintain accurate records and reports
Good written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with colleagues and management
Ability to solve problems in the work area with little supervision to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations

Work Environment:

The CIP Operator will work in a wet to damp environment, using high-pressure hoses, cleaning chemicals, and industrial strength chemicals. The work environment is noisy, requiring hearing protection, and temperatures vary from 35 to 100 degrees. This role requires a strong commitment to sanitation and cleanliness, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve cleaning goals and objectives.
