The Medical/Surgical/Rehabilitation Unit Registered Nurse is a professional nurse who coordinates the delivery of nursing care for pre/postoperative and medical patients through their hospital stay. The Registered Nurse participates in patient and family teaching, provides leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary and other patient team personnel in maintaining standards of professional nursing practice in the clinical setting.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate patient care and develop individualized plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and optimal patient outcomes.
- Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Current RN licensure in the State of Texas or compact state required.
- Current BLS for health care providers.
