About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical First Assistant to join our team at Manatee Memorial Hospital. As a key member of our surgical team, you will assist surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions to ensure a safe and successful operation.

Responsibilities
  • Assist surgeons with exposure, hemostasis, and other technical functions during surgical procedures.
  • Provide direct care to patients under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
  • Anticipate the needs of the surgeon and other team members to ensure a smooth and efficient surgical process.
  • Maintain a professional attitude and respect the dignity, privacy, and safety of patients.
  • Function within the limits of your ability and within the scope of practice set forth by the medical staff Bylaws, Rules and Regulations, and appropriate state law.
