Dynamics Engineering Associate

Responsibilities:
Manage multiple projects simultaneously
Provide technical guidance, quoting support, and project management support
Coordinate customer scheduling requirements with NTS department managers
Interface between NTS technical personnel and customers
Review/approve test data to assure adherence to customer and NTS quality requirements
Setup and performance of Vibration, Mechanical Shock (i.e. SRS) and Acoustic tests
Monitor tests per specifications, interact with customers if needed
Data collection utilizing vibration control systems, thermocouples, and accelerometers
Analysis and verification of test setups, test levels and requirements
Troubleshooting and buildup of test fixtures, test configurations and electrical setups
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Self-motivated, dependable, and responsible person requiring little direct supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational, analytical, problem solving skillset
Excellent people skills, must be strong team player and willing to adapt as necessary
Ability to tolerate stress and work in a fast paced, dynamic environment
Ability to multitask and complete tasks with minimal supervision
Excellent computer skills required; knowledge of Microsoft Office programs is required
Proven ability to learn at a fast pace with minimal training
Willing to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
Strong attention to detail and mechanical aptitude
Minimum Education and Experience:
BS Mechanical Engineering / Physics Degree required; MS Degree preferred
2 years of experience operating electrodynamic vibration systems
Familiarity with MIL-STD810, and/or RTCA-DO160 test methodology LabView programming experience is a plus
