Beekeeper Specialist

Beeflow is a pioneering biotech startup that harnesses scientific expertise and innovative technologies to enhance the impact of ecosystem services in agriculture. Our mission is to create and manage pollination programs for farmers, aiming to consistently increase crop yields.

We combine in-depth knowledge of crop pollination, bee biology, and chemical ecology with proprietary technologies, including molecules that train bees to pollinate specific crops and a plant-based bee diet that boosts their immune system. This novel approach enables growers to produce more with less.

We are seeking a skilled Beekeeper Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Pollination Program, you will be responsible for hands-on activities related to executing the program. This is an as-needed position, with primary responsibilities including auditing hives and feeding them with our technologies.

• Conduct thorough hive audits to assess their quality
• Monitor and report on the quality status throughout the pollination season
• Feed hives with our proprietary technologies with precision and care
• Ensure hives remain productive and healthy to meet pollination needs
• Inspect for mites or other pests/diseases
• Conduct hive movements to ranches within designated districts
• Repair or assemble damaged hives
• Operate heavy machinery, including forklifts, flatbeds, and trailers

• Fluency in English and Spanish is highly preferred
• Knowledge and experience in the farming industry, ideally within the local region
• Not allergic to bee stings
• Minimum one year of beekeeping experience required
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to travel to nearby cities/regions for audits and feedings
• Able to lift up to 50lbs

You will be working in outdoor environments with varying weather conditions, standing or walking for extended periods, and wearing protective equipment to work with bees.
