Youth Career Development Specialist

Goodwill Industries of Northwest North Carolina, Inc. is seeking a skilled NextGen Youth Case Manager to support jobs training, work experience, and job placement for unemployed youth in the local community.
This role requires a mature and persuasive leader who can connect with and serve as a strong role model for youth. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of WIOA rules and regulations, as well as experience with mentoring programs, business/community development, and training/coaching or instructional experience.
Responsibilities:- Facilitate career exploration activities with youth (individuals and groups)
- Facilitating online assessments and assisting participants with other assessment tools
- Referring the participant to other appropriate programs for assistance in a wide variety of areas
- Exploring potential training and education for the participant which will utilize the work history, interests, and skills of each individual to help them further their career
- Coordinating research and application for scholarships and purchase of materials/registration
- Providing job search and employment counseling to support job placement and retention
REQUIRES VALID CLASS C NORTH CAROLINA DRIVER LICENSE. (Will transport participants occasionally in vehicle)
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree preferred, not required
