Job Summary

Rutgers University is seeking a highly skilled Per-Diem Anatomic and Clinical Pathologist to join our team at University Hospital. As a Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor, you will provide clinical services and be an integral part of our Anatomic and Clinical Pathology team.

Responsibilities
  • Provide diagnostic pathology services at University Hospital
  • Collaborate with institutional leadership, physician partners, and nursing colleagues to ensure high-quality care for patients
  • Work collaboratively with the existing academic, administrative, and clinical staff within the Department of Pathology, Immunology, and Laboratory Medicine at New Jersey Medical School
  • Document and bill for provider activities accurately, appropriately, and in a timely manner according to hospital and medical school policies
  • Provide active participation in teaching programs and attend conferences and grand rounds
  • Promote the program throughout the region and at national conferences
  • Participate in process/quality improvement in care delivery of patients and participate in quality initiatives of the Department of Pathology, Immunology, and Laboratory Medicine
  • Comply with all medical school and hospital medical staff bylaws
Requirements
  • An MD, DO, or MBBS is required along with board certification or board eligibility in AP/CP or AP
  • Compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's qualifications
  • Candidate must have an active medical license for the state of New Jersey
