Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Family Support Specialist to join our team at Waypoint. As a Family Support Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing support to incarcerated fathers and their families in the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide support to incarcerated fathers and their families through video visitation and parent coaching.
  • Facilitate support groups and curriculum-led classes to participants in the program.
  • Coordinate and cooperate with other agencies and officials to ensure the effectiveness of the Family Connections Center.
  • Review and mail out recorded audiobooks and books to incarcerated parents' children.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in child development, family studies, social services, psychology, sociology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience working in a position related to child development or family support.
  • Candidates must have a criminal background check completed and be trained and certified as a New Hampshire Department of Corrections Volunteer.
